Our last full day in Sydney and we woke up to the sun shining! We grabbed a quick breakfast bite in our way to hail a cab and made our way to Sydney's famous Bondi Beach. There were tons of surfers and people running and playing vollyball and sunbathing.

The big rage in Sydney is their rock pools - swimming pools built into the rock along the water's edge where it's safe to swim without a current. They're really cool. This is one on the right side of Bondi.

The purpose of our trip was to do the Bondi to Bronte Beach Walk. It's a beautiful coastal walk high above the cliffs with views of the ocean. There were so many people on the coastal walk - all running or exercising in some way or another. We were taken aback at how fit the Aussies are.

Unfortunately, the weather swooped back in to rain on us just in time we ducked into a restaurant for lunch. We thought it might clear so we could finish the walk, but no such luck. We took a bus back to our neighborhood and walked around a local market, which was a lot of fun. Then, of course, we had beer :)
After a quick nap, we cabbed to a place called Porteno, highly recommended by the hostess last night at Momofuku (and several other people). We knew it would be tough to get a table, but the wait was three hours when we arrived just before 7:00!! Andrew worked his charm and we got a bar table to pass the time. We actually were seated about an hour early, which was awesome!

Chorizo |
The place was Argentinian and know for their meat, so we got grilled octopus, chorizo, chicken and pork. It was excellent.
After dinner, we made our way to Circular Quay for the view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House at night:
Sydney has treated us well. Great city full of great people, excellent food and beautiful sights. On to Cairns/Port Douglas for a taste of the tropics. Good night!!
