Australia - Day 6 (Part 1 of 2) - Port Douglas

In trying to download yesterday's post, it crashed the wifi at our hotel, so I'm going to try this in two parts...

Our Daintree Rainforest tour was today and the weather couldn't have been better!  We started out the tour in Mossman Gorge, which is a large gorge lined with rainforest.  One of our first sights was a Boyd's Lizard perched on a tree just at the beginning of the path:

As we made our way through the gorge, we skirted a beautiful creek:

There was tons of life to see all around us - trees, plants, birds, lizards, etc.:

After Mossman Gorge, we drove to the crocodile river cruise on the Daintree River:

This was a little resident tree frog that hung out in the shop at the river!
Daintree River...full of crocs
see?
Ten minutes north, we hit a really gorgeous beach…but the stingers prevented us from getting in the water:

On the drive to the Daintree Rainforest walk, we passed a fairly famous sign that was actually altered by our tour guide's friend, named Conrad:

Day 6, past 2 coming up!
