We're here! Easy flight, easy rental car pick up, easy hotel check in. We could't have asked for it to go more smoothly. Our hotel is very cute. In fact, we found out that it is someone's residence, but he "invites" people to stay. Trip Advisor just said it was a boutique hotel…Anyway, it's full of beautiful Cuban art - in the rooms and the lobby:

We were so excited to touch the water that even though we were starved, we changed clothes and ran down to the beach to stick our feet in. Well, some of us went all the way in:
Andrew found a yummy spot just a 10-minute walk down the road from our hotel for dinner - El Fritanga. They had exactly what we wanted (and needed):

We ate our hearts out and headed back to the hotel to get in bed early in preparation for our big day tomorrow - whale sharks!!!!
