Spain: Day 3

This morning we got going a bit earlier than yesterday.  We walked down to Barceloneta in search of a famous bakery, but it was closed.  Total bummer.  So instead we stopped and got a few tapas.  They were ok, but nothing to write home about.  From there we jumped in a cab to Guell Park which was famously designed by Gaudi.  Unfortunately the park was so crowded that they weren't allowing people in until 6:30 p.m., so we walked around the park instead and saw some neat things:

In search of more Gaudi, we pounded the pavement across the city to La Pedrera, which is an apartment building/museum.  Many of the famous sculptures you see in books were photographed on the top of the building.

These guys were covered in chards of champagne bottles!
We grabbed a quick bite after La Pedrera and then hiked to the Born neighborhood and strolled around.  While there, we came across the Catredal and the Basilica, both of which were gorgeous.

In trying to find a place for dinner, we just happened to stumble across a small Mazda museum and this racecar was inside - a famous one, I'm told...

After a quick look, we found our way to Bormuth for a tapas dinner.  More white anchovies!!!

And finally, we ended the evening with a walk back to the hotel and a quick play date with Mad before we wrapped her up for bed.

So excited for another crazy day :)
