Spain: Day 4

Today was a bit more relaxed.  We had grand plans to wake up early, get some breakfast and hit the Picasso museum, but we got moving late and then found the museum closed :(.  But we did get a yummy breakfast sandwich at Baluard Bakery in Barceloneta.

The weather was also kind of crummy - sunny, but super windy - so we visited the aquarium instead.  They were acknowledged for the best collection of Mediterranean fish in the world!  We took a lovely tour through and saw many neat exhibits from cuttlefish to seahorses to the giant main attraction - a tunnel through the shark tank!

After the aquarium we grabbed another sandwich from Baluard Bakery and headed back to the hotel to relax.  Mad had no trouble getting into the spirit!

After nap time
And here is the view from our room:

We're off to L'Olive for dinner.  Hoping it's good - it was a recommendation from the hotel.  Apparently there's a major food event going on in town and tons of restaurants are booked!  We will check back in later and let you know how it went :)

Before we left, Mad woke up and we got a few cute photos:

Dinner was nice.  Not the best meal ever, but certainly good.  We started with seasonal spring onion called calcots with romesco along with anchovies, but these were standard, not the white anchovies in vinegar.  We then had a lovely fresh cod "salad" with tomatoes and kalamata olives.  For dinner Andrew had veal entrecote and I had seasoned codfish and white beans (but we didn't get pics of the main dish.

Tomorrow we hope to see the top of the mountain and eat some ham.  We'll let you know how it goes :)
