Day 5 - Ubud to Sanur

We will miss you, Ubud!!  A farewell photo:

We enjoyed a little more of the sun poolside before departing for Sanur.  The drive took about 40 minutes and we stopped at the end to sign up for a snorkeling tour tomorrow!!!  We're headed out to Nusa Penida, an island off the coast of Bali, with several recommended snorkel spots...and possibly manta rays!!!

Upon arrival at our hotel in Sanur, Kejora Suites, we were greeted with a cold towel and a welcome drink, and then led to our rooms:

Outdoor tub and shower!

Pool

Hungry (as usual), we made our way to the beach front and found a few little stalls selling local Indonesian food.  We were so excited to have a traditional meal, that I forgot to take photos of almost all of it, except this awesome soup:

Our view from the lunch spot

Stuffed again, we walked along the beach for a bit and took in the sights, like these colorful boats with faces:

After the usual relaxing by the pool, we gathered ourselves and had a quick drink on the beach:

Mmmm, lychee mint cocktail

For dinner, Andrew hit the jackpot with the Sanur night market.  Tons of vendors selling yummy foodstuffs :)

Our next stop was a nightcap at the beach.  On the walk there, we saw this beachy version of a Christmas tree:

I'll allow it

And what better to end the night before snorkeling than a beer.  This is the local brew:

Snorkeling tomorrow - wish us luck to see the mantas!!!
